AI-based energy management: how plants find their own optimum

Pattern recognition over historian data identifies the operating states in which your plant runs best — and steers toward them. 5–20% savings, advisory-only.

Your plant has already run at its optimum — you just don’t know when it was, or why. Somewhere in years of historian data are the shifts where output was high, consumption was low and quality was in spec. AI-based energy management finds those states and turns them into setpoint recommendations.

Advisory-only: no interference with your DCS

The system never writes to the control system. It compares the current operating state against the best comparable states from history and tells the operator what to adjust. The operator stays in charge; the AI supplies the memory of a thousand shifts.

Energy AI compares the running state against the best historical twins of that state.

Where the 5–20% comes from

  • Load scheduling against energy prices and demand peaks
  • Equipment combinations: which compressor mix is cheapest at this load?
  • Drift detection: fouling and wear quietly raise specific consumption

Because recommendations are grounded in states your plant has actually achieved, they are credible to operators — adoption is the real success factor of every energy program.
